The Foundation along with Notre Dame’s Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) helps service providers apply scientific evaluation methods to better understand and share effective interventions for combating homelessness in the Seattle area.
The Richard and Maude Ferry Foundation is attempting to learn better and more effective ways to combat homelessness in the greater Seattle area. We have partnered with Notre Dame's Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities or LEO to conduct impact evaluations that identify the innovative, effective, and scalable programs and policies that help to prevent and eliminate homelessness.
We believe that the current policies and programs are ineffective in helping to prevent homelessness and the lack of affordable housing options prevents many from finding and maintaining stable housing. We hope and pray that through scientific research and the willingness of the community to step up and make positive changes, we can eliminate homelessness.
